Interest Inventory

This is not required but strongly encouraged. 

Purpose: To help you brainstorm ideas for your topic for the audio-and video-essays

Directions: Choose at least ten of the following prompts and make a list of answers under each. Write the first answers that come to mind, but then push beyond there. Keep thinking.  Brainstorm!

List at least 5 answers under each of the following:

  • Earliest Memories

  • Family Traditions

  • Lies You or Others You Know Have Told

  • Arguments You Have Had

  • Your Own Character Flaws

  • Family or Friend Who Betrayed You

  • Places You Like to Hang Out

  • Times You Were Embarrassed

  • Times You Felt Shame

  • Times you Felt Surprised

  • Things You Learned From Traveling

  • Rebellious Acts you have Done or Witnessed

  • Experiences That Changed Your Viewpoint on a Controversy

  • Coming of Age Experiences (Something that made you grow up)

  • First Times

  • Things You Have Done That You Never Thought You Would Do?

  • Biggest Influences on You 

  • Pet Peeves

  • Things Your Obituary Will Say About You

  • Lessons Your Parents Taught You

  • People You Have Hated

  • Things That Stress You Out
